College Stories
Yes, I have them and was telling many of them at the extremely early University of Chicago send-off party today. I ended up telling the stories of the last three Scav list releases to an old Scav judge. I also explained what I knew about the breaking of the Shoreland's door (i.e., not very much) to various incoming first-years. About five people from my high school are entering Chicago this year, and three of them were there. I also saw certain people who I met as prospies, one of whom has been placed in Dewey. Apparently, many people had a lot of fun at April prospie weekend, which is a poor omen for Friday night of First Week. On the other hand, they have learned already that frat parties are lame. I would say I can't wait to go back to Chicago, but I have a few things to do before I leave. You may hear about some of them. Oh, from the limited sample I saw, I think the usual theorems about new Chicago classes will be disproven, but I am waiting for a better look in late September.
