PRESS RELEASE
EMBARGOED DO NOT RELEASE UNTIL 27 MARCH 2005
You can try to contact the Publicity Department, but we will not return your calls
Houston--17 March 2005
The Editorial Board of Eruditarum Stultitiarum Acta is pleased to announce that its editorial offices will move from Chicago, IL to Pasadena, CA, effective July 2005. Caelius Spinator, Publisher, had this to say on the forthcoming move, "As Horace Greeley once said, 'Move, west, young blog. (sic)' We feel that Mr. Greeley's advice remains as true today as when it was given sometime before I was born."
Perennial business managers and Dialogists, C.M. and J.X. Testerfield (deceased) emphasized the strategic possibilities of the move, "Currently, the magazine is operating at a substantial loss. Our backers honestly were hoping that we would become self-sufficient about this time. Moving to Pasadena will bring in substantial income from the planetary science research endeavors that began to pay off last year."
Aulus Lactinus, staff Theologian, noted other advantages, "We've always dated things according to Pacific time without knowing why. Now, we have a better excuse that can't be questioned by some of more obstreperous readers."
In other news, the Editorial Board voted to condemn Gizoozle.com for slander by a 3-2 margin. "We are not felons. Indeed, contrary to popular belief, we do not roll anything with the homies," said Editor Spinator.
News Media interested in further details should contact the Publicity Department, but we won't return your calls, so why bother? Go read Romanesko with the time you save by not trying to contact us.
