In approximately, 15.5 hours, Hurricane Wilma went from a Category 2 Hurricane with minimum central pressure of 970 mb to a Category 5 Hurricane with the second lowest minimum central pressure (tie) ever observed in the Atlantic Basin (892 mb). I.e., pressure dropped at a rate of 5 mb per hour!
