Just wanted to say that I watched Jon Nese, the Weather Channel's tropical expert discourse on Isabel's weakening. His explanation was nearly identical to the one proposed in ESA(20030915.1). I actually know Jon from my and his days at the Franklin Institute and a very brief e-mail correspondence. He always enjoyed being in front of a camera. I think he's a fine replacement for John Hope, but I do miss John.
