Doings of Learned Stupidities

(Eruditarum Stultitiarum Acta) We've been doing this for more than five years, but we lost the first year or so of archives. Frightening...

RANDOM METEOROLOGICAL WORRIES
Chicago Snow?: I am currently watching a system in Colorado that may be sufficiently strengthened by a descending jet disturbance over Minnesota and North Dakota to combine a fresh waft of Canadian air and a decent inflow of moisture from the Gulf into some heavy snow. This situation made a rather sudden appearance a couple of model runs ago, so it may just disappear again. Either way, a band of light snow is currently over Iowa and Minnesota. Expect it to bring a couple of inches of now late this afternoon into tonight.
